SouthPark
This area is located in south central Charlotte. It consists of both upscale residential and commercial neighborhoods. The area's name derives from the fashionable SouthPark Mall, located at the intersection of Sharon and Fairview Roads. Luxury retailers such as Neiman Marcus, Louis Vuitton and Tiffany & Co. can be found here. Today you will find a dense mix of Restaurants, Retailers, and Office space within this area.

Southpark opened in 1970 on more than 100 acres of farmland southeast of downtown Charlotte. The city's retail focus began to shift from away from its center city toward the suburbs. In the years that followed several upscale neighborhoods followed. Today it sits in the heart of "South Charlotte".
