Harrisburg
First known as Harris' Depot to mark the coming of the railway, Harrisburg now owes its growth to the automobile. Harrisburg is quickly growing as the recent opening of it's connection to I-485 have brought development with it. Residents in Harrisburg enjoy a reduced tax rate when compared to residents of Charlotte and Mecklenburg County.

Location
Harrisburg is located on N.C. 49 between Concord and Charlotte. The completion of the Interstate 485 "outer belt" may help ease some of the congestion, but surely its interchanges will bring more development to the area.
