Coliseum
Wedged between Chantilly and Echo Hills you'll find the Coliseum community. It is named for its close proximity to what is now called Cricket Arena. When built, the Colesium was considered an engineering marvel and was noted world-wide for its large dome. This community is rather small and unknown. The neighborhood has limited access now from Independence Blvd and sits between Monroe Rd (7th Street) and Independence Blvd. Today you will find tree-lined streets, charming ranch homes and bungalows in this desirable community. Nearby on Independence Blvd a major renovation project is planned as Wal-Mart is planning to add a store in the nearby Coliseum Shopping Center.

This neighborhood is quietly tucked between Independence Blvd and Monroe Rd (7th Street) Southeast of Uptown Charlotte. It is less than 2 miles from Uptown Charlotte.
