Cherry
This is what is thought to be Charlotte's oldest surviving predominantly black neighborhood. It was named in 1891 and many local historians believe it may predate the Civil War. In recent years the close proximity to the center city has made this area quite desirable. Within a short walk you will find many amenities including restaurants and shops in SouthEnd, Elizabeth and Uptown.

This neighborhood is adjacent to Elizabeth, Dilworth and the Historic SouthEnd. It is located in an area that flanks the southern portion of the Center City Charlotte.
