Birnam Woods

This neighborhood consists of homes built from the 1970's to 1980's. Properties within the community have a wide range of styles and sizes although ranch and two story tend to dominate. You can find properties from 1000 to 2400 heated square feet. The local home owners accociation sponsors such things as a yard of the month club.

Location

This neighborhood extends South from Pence Road. It is convenient to a number of shopping centers and restaurants on Albemarle Road and is approximately nine miles East of Uptown Charlotte.

Within a half mile you will find JH Gunn Elementary and Northeast Junior High School.

A new Target anchored shopping center was recently built a short distance East of this neighborhood. The CT Myers Golf Course is just across Pence Road. Plans are in the works for a new Mall East of this area along I-485 at Lawyers Road.
